Dr. Valerie Mooney is a native of Asheville, North Carolina, and is brand new to the low country. She attended UNC Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree and East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine for dental school. Dr. Mooney has continued to expand her dental training and knowledge through many continuing education seminars and loves to stay up to date on the latest advances in dentistry. She is passionate about forming relationships with patients and transforming smiles. Building trust and allowing patients to work through dental anxiety to become comfortable in the dental chair is one of her highest goals.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mooney loves working out, running races, and playing with her GSP puppy. She can be found outside on any sunny day, often either reading a book or running around with her two young nieces. When she isn’t being active, she is busy trying new restaurants and enjoying the food scene of Charleston.
